Early Detection Rapid Response Workshops
for invasive weeds
Early Spring (March) will bring the emergence of some
of the new weeds that can spread around the north coast and become new problem
children like English Ivy and Scotch Broom. Clatsop SWCD and OSU Extension
will again partner to present a workshop to acquaint us with new invasive
plants heading our way and how we can stop their spread. No schedule has
been set yet for the workshops, but check back here periodically for updates.
Become a volunteer for the Clatsop County Early Detection of Invasives Network
(CCEDIN). Help protect Northwest Oregon’s beautiful natural landscape by
preventing the spread of harmful invasive species! Invasive species cause
serious problems by disrupting ecosystems, pushing out native species, and
decreasing the value of your land. Many invasive species are not yet abundant
in Oregon, and so this is your chance to help keep them out.
