Wildlife Habitat Incentive Program
The Wildlife Habitat Incentive Program, or WHIP, is designed to encourage landowners to develop and implement plans to improve wildlife habitat on their land. Improvements can take the form of riparian restoration, planting trees and shrubs in pastures for wildlife habitat, or in-stream habitat improvements. Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program

The Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program is designed to encourage farm producers to set aside riparian areas for fish and wildlife habitat. The program provides incentives

If you have land along one of Clatsop County's salmon or steelhead bearing rivers or streams that is currently used for agricultural production, you could qualify for the program.

Environmental Quality Incentive Program (EQIP)

The Environmental Incentive Program is a cost share program administered by the Natural Resource Conservatiopn Service to aid agricultural producers in improving their Land. The program can be used to fund projects like livestock fencing, watering facilities, riparian restoration, pasture improvements and management, animal waste storage facilities, and high traffic area improvements. NRCS will provide 50% of the cost of buying materials and installing project components.
